Our Mission

Objects of the Trust

The objects for which the trust is established are
  • To Provide a unified platform for Pravasi Indians and their Associations all over the World to open up new possibilities for their economic, political and social interaction and growth by augmenting their inherited culture, value systems and social and economic outlook through the experiences and expertise they have gathered out of the Pravasi life and to facilitate a dynamic link with the Pravasi Indian diaspora and their experience, expertise and entrepreneurship for the invigoration of the Pravasi Indian Community at large, and the country, India.
  • To constitute and establish a Pravasi Centre for International Arbitration.
  • To constitute and establish a Pravasi Think Tank for interdisciplinary research and advice on diverse range of issues through the use of its member’s specialized knowledge and activation of its worldwide network.
  • To provide facilitation and handholding for new projects approved by PCT.
  • To undertake periodic assessment, collection and analysis of state level and Nationwide data of Pravasi and to work with NORKA ROOTS and other state and national level bodies and forums of experts to be constituted by the Trust for appropriate planning and decision making.
  • To intervene, take up and initiate proactive or legal recourse to resolve issues involving Pravasi’s and Pravasi investments.
  • To Promote, plan and design studies and research in areas of action identified by the Board of Pravasi Conclave or recommended by Pravasi Think Tank from time to time.
  • To Conduct and organize seminars, workshops and other means of diffusion of knowledge and awareness on issues as decided by the Board of Trustees from time to time.
  • To print, publish and distribute journals, magazines, handbooks, documentaries, serials etc. to bring in awareness, understanding and methodology on Pravasi issues, Global Demography and distribution of Pravasi Indians and their contribution to India.
  • To promote programs for continuing education, professional improvement, career counseling etc. for those who seek employment abroad.
  • To promote the collection and preservation of source materials, study materials, data bank, archives and libraries of and for Pravasi Indians.
  • To aid and further Pravasi initiatives through co-operative societies and community development activities.
  • To act or to exercise any power towards appointing Executive Officers, Managers, arbitrators, auditors, inspectors, examiners or other officials for the efficient management of the affairs of the Trust.
  • To apply capital and income of the property of the Trust within its jurisdiction and the proceeds if any, mortgage, lease or rent thereof for or towards all or any of the objects of the Trust.
  • And generally to do or engage in all other acts or to take steps to achieve the aforesaid aims and objects of the Trust.
  • The benefits of the trust shall be open to all irrespective of caste, creed and religion.
